This is the story of what happened to me when anxiety took a grip. I lost my senses, I lost my job, and I lost me. I then turned to writing to find those things that had gone missing.
How can you teach when you believe that education is a business that is failing in its primary remit of helping to create a better society? Indeed, how can you teach when you believe that you have nothing of value to pass on?
The book/blog is the story of my recovery from the absolute darkness of the early days. It is an Odyssey through my life over the last twelve months and a retracing of my steps to discover how I found myself there. More than all of that, it is a re-evaluation and a rejoicing of all that which I call life.
Happy reading and I hope it helps.

I admit that when I woke up at 3:30am PDT, like I usually do (gee, thanks insomnia) I decided to check out the hoopla.
I thought that speech was fantastic!
I’d love to know the thoughts of all of the guests 🙂

It will take a lot more than an awesome bishop to make up for the buffoon in the White House🙁
I was watching Meghan’s lips when God Save The Queen was being sung… We have a song called My Country Tis Of Thee to the same music😜

I know, and there is an irony about both. It was just good to see Black people (people of colour) in there. Come on world, change.

He was fantastic…..about time there was a bit of pep…….loved every minute. Good shake up in what can be stuffy and old fashioned. Stopped ’em all from nodding off. He’d do well in the House of Commons, he might keep that lot awake too!

Go to church? A step too far. Surely caught up in the flag waving and fervour? Ah, well best of British and Yankee luck to ’em. It’s a step away from the usual Royal marriage at least.

No flag waving. I was happily mowing the lawn when my wife called me in. I was rapt by the way he spoke… Simply wonderful. A lost art.
